Dispatches from Our Own Wisconsin: A profile series showcasing fresh stories and insight from our Wisconsin Idea Seminar partners facing, engaging, and addressing critical issues in their communities
As our Wisconsin Idea Seminar team works remotely during Wisconsin’s ‘Safer at Home’ order, we are seeing how Wisconsinites across the state are showing remarkable resilience and dedication in the face of this unprecedented pandemic.
We are inspired to collect fresh stories, observations, and insight from our Wisconsin Idea Seminar collaborators and hosts who are facing, engaging, and addressing critical issues in their communities.
This year is also the 35th anniversary of the Wisconsin Idea Seminar and it seems particularly fitting to mark the milestone with stories from our valued partners and collaborators during this historic moment. Even in this time of uncertainty, the Wisconsin Idea continues. It is being mobilized in inspiring and creative ways.
We thank all of our Wisconsin Idea Seminar collaborators and hosts who over the last thirty-five years have helped newcomers to UW-Madison and others to learn about Wisconsin life and to gain a deeper understanding of complexities and nuances of our state.
