Within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the sight may come off as either apocalyptic or expected depending on one’s disposition. But since 2013, when the ORegon CHild Absenteeism Due To Respiratory Disease Study (ORCHARDS) was founded by Shari Barlow and Jonathan Temte, it’s become a common, almost daily, occurrence for residents with school-aged children.”
